Unexpectedly yummy and cheap than Jakarta as well!

Lempah is the famous dish here, either it's a Lempah nanas or Lempah something. I know the dish from my dad, he used to cook it once in awhile. Not my favorite though. You can find it almost at any restaurant. We didn't order it since it's a heavy meal and we can't eat much hehe.. The otak-otak and pempek here are the champ!

Almost forgot, roasted pork meat here is famous and also a great choice for a snack. You can also packed it and take it home. I personally prefer the ones in Jakarta though.

Pempek served at a small stall

No wonder my dad has a great taste and cooked well! Sometimes he even told the recipes to my mom. There're lots of foods I still wanna try here. Maybe next time!

Wait for another post of culinary tour at another city! Ciao!

Finally Touchdown! @Bangka Island

My dad was born in Bangka but you know, I know nothing about it and never been there. We didn't have any relatives left there anymore. Last year, finally I'm able to see the place where my dad grew up for the first time :)

The view along the road really looks like African Safari Desert

Beaches are prettier in Belitung but the food in Bangka is the winner!
They have more variety of food here. Bangka city is also more crowded and advanced than Belitung.

Your hometown surely is a beautiful place dad :)

Belitung Feast!

Yoyoyo..
Travelling would not be complete without culinary tour and that is exactly when I must take part! hahaha

Our First Lunch at the shore!

Chinese Food for Our First Dinner!

Classic Martabak for Midnite Snack!

Breakfast at Our Hotel!

Another Seafood for Lunch!

You can see Jelly Fish here

The famous drink! Es Jeruk Kunci!

Breakfast with Noodles! (Finally!!)

Songsi and fried Kwetiau for Light dinner

Belitung is famous for its seafood since it's an island and their taste is great! But I give more respect to the Chinese food. It has a different taste and menu from Jakarta's but tremendously yummy!! I ate much, bloody much, I bloated a lot here hehe.. As for noodles and martabaks, I still prefer Jakarta's :)

I didn't get the chance to try their traditionally-served-classic-coffee though :(

The Perks of Being a Masterchef

I started to cook. I mean real cooking. Not instant noodle but real meal.
I don't know when exactly, my mind started to filled with ingredients for meals. Probably I watched too much Cooking shows on TV but hell yeah it bloody works haha.. (Cultivation Theory's effect if you know what I mean)

Scrambled egg with fish cake and medium rare Tuna !

my first attempt of Bakwan Jamur!

Beef  Fried Rice

Those are some of my trial cookings with limited and easy ingredients.
It's simple cooking though but am proud of myself ^^
I can't even cooked fried rice last time but now I did! So happy..
I also can't guarantee everyone's going to love the taste since everybody has different taste and I cook based on my own taste so I can bear with my meal :D

I think this is the phase every woman will face.
When you finally have your own little family or living alone like me, you'll definitely find yourself missing home cooks as when you live with your mom. That's when the urge to cook on your own came up as a woman. So don't worry for every woman out there who can't cook yet, you will and you can at the right time :)

I'll post more updates of my new cook!

Friends Over Flower - Iceland ♥

Familiar to you? Yep. This TV show on channel M pictures 4 friends of Korean actor travelled to Iceland. There are too much things I like to describe about this program. Not only the incredible view of Iceland but also the fun travelers. Here are the things I summed up :)

I always love Ha Neul on his dramas but when I saw this program I turned to Jung Woo haha.. He has the figure of my type of an ideal man. If you noticed, Jung Woo always greet strangers. Maybe it looks tacky but on psychological view, I assume he is a kind-hearted, friendly and open person. I also found he's very sweet when he comforted and care for his friends (Jung Woo's not gay, right?).

♥ When they watched the night sky with auroras by laying on the icing ground, that's when I thought, they did exactly what I'm gonna do if I were there. I always have wanted to sleep/lay down with the night sky of stars as the roof. It'll never get me bored.

On last day interview, Jung Woo said he is the type of friend that not only want to see the good side of Ha Neul but also his bad side. Sang Hun also said to Ha Neul to always meet them whenever he is having a bad day or rough time, that's what friends are for he said and it does sound so sincereeee.. Ugh, how I adore their kind of friendship. I extremely agree with him. For me, bestfriends would not turn their back on you just because they teased you hard or play rough. They never have a real fight during the trip and I envy it. You know, women can be wayyy too sensitive and hard-feeling sometimes. Is this kind of friendship only applied to men? I'm so jealous.

Cavatina played by Jung Seok on last day really drifted me away

One day I'll visit Iceland for sure :)
